Disney Dream
Begins to Take Shape
The Disney Cruise Line celebrated the keel laying of the Disney Dream as this is the first of two newly-designed ships in order to expand family cruise options. After many years of design work, this keel laying ceremony will be the first time the Disney Dream will begin to take shape.
"Since our inception, families have come to know and love Disney Cruise Line, and they are looking for additional ways to enjoy all that we have to offer," said Disney Cruise Line President Karl Holz.
The Disney Dream is scheduled to join the current fleet in 2011 and will be followed by Disney's second new ship, the Disney Fantasy in 2012. Each will have 1,250 staterooms and a tonnage of 128,000. The ships will call Port Canaveral, Florida, their home as expansion efforts are already underway in order to accommodate the larger ships.
I will prefer a Disney Land vacation other than the Disney cruise, i can have lots of fun on the Theme park compares to that on the cruise. Though there are Disney characters on the cruise but it wont be that great.
