Orbitz.com released the latest edition of the Orbitz Insider Index, revealing the top shoulder season destinations offering big fun and even bigger savings this fall. Along with the insider index, the company also announced its Fall Sale.

"Fall's shoulder season, the period between summer and holiday travel, is the perfect time to enjoy great weather with the perks of lower costs and less crowded beaches and attractions in many popular tourist destinations," said Sam Fulton, Group Vice President for Orbitz.com's Retail Group. "This is the time of year where you will find some of the best deals and get the most value out of your vacation."

The Orbitz Insider Index reviewed average hotel costs in 10 popular shoulder season destinations, identifying which give travelers the most value this fall. Offering consumers the highest year-over-year percentage savings, Dublin and Bermuda top the list, with 44% and 38% respectively. Those savvy spenders should set their sights on a fall excursion to Las Vegas, San Juan, and once again, Dublin, all of which offer average hotel rates under $100 per night.

Nearly all of the Orbitz Insider shoulder season destinations are included in the Orbitz Fall Sale. Sample rates include:
